Lana Coffey, 18, of New Canaan was crowned the winner of Miss Connecticut Teen USA Sunday, Nov. 13 at the competition in Stamford. The Pageant Associates production showcased the accomplishments, talent and dedication of young women across the state.
Lana will go on to represent Connecticut in the next round of competitions for the prestigious, nationally recognized Miss Teen USA 2017 pageant.
“The pageant brought together a group of amazingly talented, smart, confident, hard-working and kind young women from every part of Connecticut,” said Lana. “I am bursting with pride at being named Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2017, and am excited for every step of this amazing journey and year ahead.”
The Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa served as the venue for all activities. Miss Connecticut Teen USA contestants were judged in three equal categories, consisting of personal interview; active wear; and evening gown. The competition shined a spotlight on some of the best, brightest and most accomplished young women throughout the state.
Titleholders will travel throughout Connecticut making appearances and acting as ambassadors of the state at a variety of charitable events, social functions and more.
Lana was additionally voted Miss Congeniality.
