New Canaan’s Hayley Hewitt, 9, with her pony Splash of Color, aka Lexi, was champion in the Zone 1 Children’s Hunter Pony Small/Medium, and won the Zone 1 Horse of the Year Sept. 15-17 in West Springfield, Mass. The competition is the Eastern States Exposition Horse Show.
