LiveGirl will host a mother/daughter workshop, Strong Girls = Strong World, on Friday, March 17 at 4-5 p.m. at Oxygen Fitness in New Canaan. The event will feature Samantha Hodgkins, founder & CEO of SparkFire Active (a performance active wear company based in Atlanta, GA).
“This event is a great collaboration between LiveGirl and SparkFire, as we join together to support girl empowerment and girls’ education,” said LiveGirl Founder Sheri West. “Mothers are the most powerful role model for their daughters, and this workshop allows mothers the opportunity to show their support for girls’ education, fitness, and self-care.”
The event will include a talk by Hodgkins on how to be a positive force in girls’ education and a fitness/self-care workshop led by Oxygen Fitness instructor Megan Hoffman. Girls (grades 5-8) are invited to stay for a LiveGirl Leadership Summit (5-7 p.m.) which includes dinner and teambuilding. Space is limited. Registration is required.
