New Canaan Library presents a unique opportunity to be part of the excitement surrounding the spring opening of a new Broadway musical, Amélie. Based on the Academy Award-winning French film of the same name and starring Tony Award-nominated Phillipa Soo of Hamilton fame, Amélie, A New Musical is slated to open on Broadway in early April. After its successful pre-Broadway run in Los Angeles, the LA Times said Amélie is ‘a sparkling musical and an enchanting act of theatrical reinvention.’
The library has procured 200 orchestra tickets for an 8 p,m, performance on Friday, April 21. “As a special arrangement with the show’s producers, our group will be treated to an exclusive talk-back with the cast and musical director after the performance,” said Ellen Crovatto, director of development at the library. The $250 purchase price for a general orchestra ticket includes an exclusive, post-performance discussion with members of the cast and the show’s musical director, as well as an option for bus transportation to and from New York City.
