Local students in talent search event

Pear Tree Point School in Darien, announced that 70% of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students qualified for the 2016 Johns Hopkins University Talent Search, including six students from New Canaan.  They are fourth graders Maeve Barket, Katherine Howe, Sarah Mettler and Ella Thomas, fifth grader Nate Codd and sixth grader Brandon Barket. This recognition was earned by students who scored in the top 5% nationally on the Educational Records Bureau Test used by independent schools throughout the world. Headmaster John Reynolds said, “We celebrate the achievements of all our students and congratulate our teachers and parents for their important contributions to the success of each child.”
