It’s in the Details, a photography exhibit by Matt Blaine, which opened Sunday, July 17, at the Gores Pavilion, located in Irwin Park, 848 Weed Street, New Canaan, and runs through the end of October. The exhibit was inspired by the New Canaan Historical Society’s event, House of Cars, headed by board members Susan Bishop and Joanna Williams. The exhibit features stunning photos of classic cars and motorcycles, with close-ups and striking angles of even the smallest details.
Blaine, a student at Fairfield University, is a freelance photographer who specializes primarily in stills involving architecture, landscapes and fashion. In addition, he is an avid street photographer and has previously photographed weddings and other events. He has volunteered at the New Canaan Historical Society since April of 2015.
Along with the House of Cars, he has photographed scenes from the Modern House Tour and several exhibits at the Society. A selection of his work can be seen at enialbm.tumblr.com.
