Scott Cranston, band director at New Canaan high School, was recently elected to membership at the American School Band Directors’ Association, which was held in Lexington, KY June 29-July 1. The ASBDA is a national organization composed of professionally trained, experienced directors and teachers of school bands whose purpose is to advance and improve music education of those students engaged in the study of band instruments. There were 55 band directors selected for membership this year in the United States.
