Sarah Elizabeth Eydt of New Canaan was married to Charles Douglas Arestia of New Canaan in Vermont.

Sarah Elizabeth Eydt of New Canaan was married to Charles Douglas Arestia of New Canaan in Vermont.

Sarah Elizabeth Eydt, daughter of William and Lisa Eydt of New Canaan, was married to Charles Douglas Arestia, son of Jane and the late Kenneth Arestia of New Canaan, on Aug. 24, 2013.

The Rev. Harold “Skip” Masback performed the double-ring ceremony at the North Universalist Chapel Society in Woodstock, Vt.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a diamond white ball gown with floral detailing, a strapless neckline, a full skirt with pockets and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of cream and blush English roses and eucalyptus greenery.

Devin Cirillo of New York City was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nadina Bourgeois of New York City, Lindsay Kniola of New York City, Lizzie Dacey of Sydney Australia, Katie Stinchfield of Boston, Mass., Bebz Eydt of Rowayton, Katie Vance of Minneapolis, Minn., Lydia Figueroa of St. Louis, Mo., and Kerry Doherty of New York City. They wore charcoal gray dresses and carried rose bouquets of pinks and creams.

Matt Rafalski of New York City was best man. Ushers were Christopher Eydt of New York City, Matthew Eydt of New York City, Jamie Arestia of Hoboken, N.J., Daniel Arestia of New Canaan, Nick Fager of New Canaan, Devon Kelley of New York City, Justin Batoff of Baltimore, Md., Robert Bear of New York City, and Stephen Byeff of New York City.

The bride graduated from New Canaan High School in 2003 and from Elon University in 2007. She is an ad sales marketing manager for HGTV and DIY Networks at Scripps Networks Interactive in New York City.

The groom graduated from New Canaan High School in 2004 and from Johns Hopkins University in 2008. He is a vice president at Guggenheim Partners in New York City.

After a reception at the Eydt family’s home, Pine Hollow Farm in South Pomfret, Vt., they honeymooned in Santorini, Greece, and the Amalfi Coast of Italy. They live in New York City.
