Former First Selectman Robert E. Mallozzi III, now SVP, director of Business Development at Bankwell in New Canaan, has joined the Waveny Park Conservancy board.
“His deep ties to the community, passion for improving the quality of life in New Canaan and unbridled energy will be of immense value to our organization as we work to ensure that Waveny Park thrives in perpetuity,” said board Chairman Bill Holmes, in making the announcement.
Waveny Park Conservancy was founded in the belief that Waveny Park is richly deserving of an advocacy providing care and resources in light of the enormous benefits the Park provides to the people of New Canaan.
The initial focus of the organization is to restore and enhance approximately 130 acres of open space surrounding Waveny House and bordering access routes to the park.
