ESPN broadcasters Mike Greenberg and Herm Edwards will speak at the dinner reception of Voices of September 11th (VOICES) 3rd annual charity golf outing on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the Country Club of Fairfield.
“Funds raised from the golf outing and reception will enable VOICES to provide long-term mental health care for victims’ families, responders and survivors and to assist communities in preparing for and recovering from acts of terrorism and mass violence, both here in the U.S. and abroad,” said VOICES Founding Director Mary Fetchet.
The event will also support VOICES Resilience Center, which helps communities impacted by traumatic events, she added.
Mike Greenberg is co-host of ESPN’s long-running Mike & Mike program, which he hosts with Mike Golic, and is a New York Times best-selling author. In 2016, both Greenberg and Golic were inducted in the National Association of Broadcasters Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
Herm Edwards joined ESPN in March 2009 as an NFL Studio Analyst. He appears primarily on NFL Live, Sports Center, ESPN radio, and also contributes to ESPN’s annual coverage of Super Bowl week. Edwards spent eight years as an NFL head coach with the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs and co-authored the book You Play to Win the Game — Leadership Lessons On and Off the Field with ESPN’s Shelley Smith.
Guests will include former New Jersey Gov. Thomas Kean who co-chairs the 9/11 Commission, recovery workers, and service men and women, said committee co-chair Peter Krieger.
There are a limited number of foursomes still available. To reserve a space, or register to play as an individual or twosome, contact Frank Fetchet at (203) 966-3911, or ffetchet@voicesofsept11.org.
