CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota recently gave students at St. Luke’s School a view from the front lines of journalism.
Camerota, a St. Luke’s parent, joined students for the Lunch & Lead series, an informal gathering where leaders from diverse fields share experiences and advice. The speaker series is managed by students as part of St. Luke’s Center for Leadership.
Camerota is a former Fox News anchor and current co-anchor of CNN’s New Day. She told students it was the most challenging times of her career, but also the most rewarding. In an era of “fake” news, Camerota — who shared that she was once “blacklisted” by the current administration — says her role as a journalist has never felt more important.
