New Canaan: As Connecticut’s budget deficit could climb to nearly $5 billion, state legislators debate the formidable challenges they face in steering a course out of the quagmire. Kevin Lembo, comptroller for the State of Connecticut, is the state’s chief fiscal guardian, and as such is uniquely suited to report on the latest financial happenings in Hartford.
Lembo will be in New Canaan to address concerned citizens on the “$tate of the $tate” at a League of Women Voters – New Canaan luncheon on Wednesday, May 31, at the Country Club of New Canaan. The luncheon starts at noon and is $50; Mr. Lembo will speak at 12:45 and his presentation is free of charge. All are welcome to attend.
