U.S. official at Men’s Club

Donald P. Gregg, chairman of the Pacific Century Institute (PCI) in Los Angeles and chairman emeritus of The Korea Society in New York City will address the New Canaan Men’s Club at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Church. He will share his many years of experiences in Asia and the reasons why he remains strongly interested in establishing normal relations with North Korea.

Following graduation from Williams College in 1951, he joined the Central Intelligence Agency. He was seconded to the National Security Council staff in 1979. In 1982, Donald was asked by the then Vice President George Bush to become his national security advisor. In September 1989, Donald began his service as the United States Ambassador to Korea. In March 1993, he became the president and chairman of The Korea Society. In 2012 Gregg was appointed chairman of the Pacific Century Institute which actively supports unofficial meetings between Americans with significant experience in Korea and North Korean officials.
