Richard Townsend, an active member of the United Methodist Church’s Habitat for Humanity, will speak to the New Canaan Men’s Club at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Church. He will explain the Habitat’s mission, scope and its successful history.
United Methodist Church has been an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County for many years providing volunteer labor and material to help neighboring communities. Their mission is to build bridges between the various economic, racial and cultural areas of the community.
Townsend is currently managing partner of Rangeley Capital as well as being involved in various positions in the past and presently with Habitat’s mission.
