Come and meet local authors Barbara Rucci, right, and Betsy McKenna this Sunday, Nov. 27, at Elm Street Books from 12-2 p.m. Barbara grew up in New Canaan, and now raises her three children here. Betsy raised her family in New Canaan and is the former head of the Beginners program at New Canaan Country School. They have written a book called Art Workshop for Children. The book’s unique child-led approach to art making encourages creative problem-solving and sparks an excitement for discovery. An art project will be set out for the children to explore, and Barbara and Betsy will sign books.
