Mr. and Mrs. William Jepsen of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Mary Noël Jepsen, a New Canaan High School graduate, to Lieutenant Michael Nicholas Salerno, the son of Vice Admiral and Mrs. Brian Salerno of Silver Spring, Md.
Jepsen is a graduate of New Canaan High School and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After working as an event planner in New York City, Jepsen attended the University of San Diego and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is a registered nurse at the University of Miami Hospital in Miami, Fla. and is earning her family nurse practitioner degree at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.
Lieutenant Salerno attended Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Md. He Is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Government. He served on the USCGC Boutwell, home-ported in San Diego, Cal. He is currently stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard District Seven Command Center in Miami, Fla.
A July 2017 wedding is planned.
