Two New Canaan women took prizes at the Rowayton Arts Center’s Marine and Coastal Exhibit. Over 90 artists entered the exhibit. Virginia Jennewein won second place for her painting, The Sea. Marianne Rothballer took a second place for her sculpture, Stamford Yacht Club.
The art, submitted by RAC exhibiting members, was done on a maritime theme without any limitations in media. This exhibit opened July 3 and runs through July 31. The gallery, located at 145 Rowayton Avenue in Rowayton, is open 12-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
