New Canaan Library’s annual Conversations with Business Leaders lecture hosts some of the business world’s most successful, knowledgeable and dynamic individuals. The tradition continues with this year’s guest speaker, Bob Lord.
All are welcome on Sunday, June 12, for a lecture by Bob Lord, a top executive in the technology and advertising industries who most recently has taken the role of chief digital officer for computing giant IBM. The event will be held at 4 p.m. in the library’s Adrian Lamb Room, preceded by a light reception at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, but seating is limited and registration is required, online at newcanaanlibrary.org.
Prior to joining IBM, Lord was president of AOL, responsible for the worldwide P&L for AOL Advertising and Platform business. In that position he constructed major strategic partnerships with Verizon, Microsoft and NBCU, among others, and oversaw the eventual sale of the company to Verizon. Before joining AOL Lord spent 13 years with Razorfish, a digital advertising agency that provides cutting-edge media services.
Lord is the co-author of the book Converge: Transforming Business at the Intersection of Marketing and Technology, which discusses how technology, media, and creativity are uniting and how this shift is revolutionizing marketing and business strategy.
He lives in New Canaan with his wife and children.
